PayPal released a survey indicating that gaming is the main focus in the metaverse. In the U.S., 80% of metaverse users utilize cryptocurrency, 50% own NFTs, and 23% use DeFi products. Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency among them. The survey projects that total spending in the metaverse in the U.S. will reach $72.6 billion next year, averaging $92.7 billion annually over the next five years. The survey included 10,000 adults from various countries, with the data primarily focusing on the U.S. market.

Web3| SEC files complaint against 📑Binance (June 5)
The SEC has sued Binance, its CEO Changpeng Zhao, and associated companies, alleging that they violated US securities laws by operating unregistered trading platforms, offering unregistered securities, and making misleading statements about controls against market manipulation. The SEC also named major cryptocurrencies such as SOL, ADA, MATIC, and others as securities in the lawsuit.
