Crypto Macro | Trump Backs U.S. Bitcoin Reserve and Says Democrat Win Will Be Disaster for Crypto (Jul 28)
Former U.S. President Donald Trump promised to maintain a "strategic national bitcoin reserve" and "never sell" the government's seized bitcoin in a freewheeling speech.
Leading up the event, there had been speculation and hope among crypto fans that Trump would announce such a reserve.

US Politics | Democrats Pushing Harris Campaign for 'Reset' on Crypto Stance, House Rep Says (Jul 27)
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris “understands” crypto and may embrace it as an issue in her nascent campaign for the White House, Rep. Wiley Nickel (D-NC) said at the Bitcoin Nashville conference on Saturday.
"We had a total reset of the presidential election," Nickel said, adding "we’ve been working hard to get a reset from Vice President."
BTC | Michigan Pension Fund Allocates $6.6 Million to Bitcoin ETF (July 27)
Bitcoin investment makes up 0.004% of the pension fund’s total assets, which amount to $143.9 billion. Michigan’s Retirement System has joined the growing list of pension funds investing in Bitcoin. As reported by BeInCrypto, the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) made a $99 million investment in Bitcoin through BlackRock’s IBIT ETF.
